Diamond Light Helium Recovery Pipe

Having working on the Harwell campus a number of time for both Diamond and the main contractors, KCC were asked to come and assist in replacing the helium pipe which has been leaking due to failure of the welded joints. We had to expose the entire run which was over 250m long and crossed a number of roads and public footpaths. All the trench had to be completed in small lengths to minimise the disruption to the campus workers and to reduce the mess created.

We managed to do all this without incident and kept the work area tidy.
